Pet FencesPet fences are a necessity. Every property should have a peripheral pet fence. Pool owners should have pet fences around the wet area. The dry deck or the poolside area may be partly accessible or completely off limits depending on the type of pet. It should be noted that pet fences cannot be generic. Pet fences do not obviously imply dog fences. Dogs can leap but not as much as cats. So a fence designed for a dog may be completely ineffective at preventing cats from getting access to a pool. Pet fences should always be customized.
The second consideration is not any less of a priority than the first. It is the type of pet you have. Dogs, cats and other small domesticated animals have their own natural tendencies. Their physical abilities, temptations and fears should be understood before conceiving the design of a pet fence. It is futile to have pet fences if they do not counter and effectively nullify the ability of an animal to get over, under or through the hurdle. Every attribute of a pet fence should be decided upon after due consideration of the type of animal you have and what its abilities are. |

The third consideration is the actual design, the material and gate or door closing system. Many pool owners in the city choose wooden pet fences of varying heights. Many prefer chain link fences. These are usually effective against intruders and trespassers as well. Picket fences are an option. These do not block the view of the pool entirely. Split rail fences are an elegant option. Snow fences are an inexpensive option compared to other styles. Invisible fences are not recommended. Wireless fences are not endorsed. Besides, these two types are irrelevant if a pool owner wants to use the pet fences to also discourage or prevent children from accessing the wet area.
